Tesla Roadster configurations and specifications

Start with the configuration. Tesla’s current page describes Performance, Thrust and Rocket, with different seating and hardware.

Performance, Thrust and Rocket

Tesla describes Performance as road ready with two seats, active aerodynamics and a suction system. Thrust also seats two and adds rear cold-gas acceleration thrusters. Rocket seats one and adds perimeter thrusters for upward and rotational movement; Tesla explicitly says it is not approved for public road use. These are the manufacturer’s descriptions.

Read numbers with their conditions

An acceleration result needs the start and end speed, rollout convention, surface, configuration and testing source. A 0–60 mph claim does not have the same endpoint as 0–100 km/h. A range figure needs a stated testing cycle; an earlier target is not a current certified result.

Interior and unresolved details

Tesla describes a steer-by-wire yoke, central screen and two smaller forward displays. We have not independently driven or measured the new car. Missing charging, roof or regional details should remain unconfirmed instead of being filled from older prototypes.
